Meet Catherine
"Welcome! I'm Catherine Kurowska, a Montessori educator, children's author, and lifelong writer. My Montessori-inspired books are designed to help children develop confidence, independence, curiosity, and a love of learning while encouraging the adults in their lives to better understand and support them."
— Catherine Kurowska
Catherine Kurowska is a Montessori educator and children's author with more than twenty years of experience in Montessori education. She began her career as a Casa assistant, an experience that sparked a lasting commitment to the Montessori philosophy and its respectful, holistic approach to child development. In 2012, she earned her AMI Assistants to Infancy diploma for ages 0-3 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and has worked with toddlers ever since.
Inspired by Montessori theory as well as her daily observations of children, Catherine writes realistic, Montessori-inspired books designed to engage and inspire young readers while offering parents and educators a deeper understanding of how children learn, grow, and experience the world. Her books reflect her belief that the earliest years of a child's life can have a profound and lasting impact on confidence, independence, relationships, and the ability to approach challenges.
Born in Warsaw, Poland, Catherine moved to Toronto at age five and has called the city home ever since. A lifelong writer, she hopes her work in both education and publishing helps children become the best versions of themselves while encouraging the adults in their lives to see and support them with greater understanding.
